Black Humboldt is hosting this year's Juneteenth celebration on Saturday at Halvorsen Park in Eureka.
There, various Black-owned businesses will be tabling throughout the day-long event. Black Humboldt aims o create employment and monetary opportunities for the local BIPOC community by hosting allowing those vendors to sell their products and by hosting organizations like the local Big Brothers Big Sisters chapter, which provides mentorship opportunities for Black youth.
